Football Season

In the rush to get ready for graduate school, I almost forgot that the Horns start the season in five days, and that Tommy and I are back in the student section (right next to the band!) so here are a couple of links to get you prepared:

They are about halfway done with renovations to DKR, which will make the stadium look like this next year (Bass Concert Hall is receiving a similar renovation). Here's a collection of pictures showing construction in progress.

The team will be wearing bluebonnet stickers on their helmets as a tribute to Lady Bird Johnson. I'm not making this up.

The Sooners seem to be wanting to steal more than land these days (Note the gratuitous picture to the right). Then again, I can understand why...

I guess if you do the same thing to yourself to support your team, that's okay. I understand that it's something of a tradition in Aggieland...

The team is rebuilding this year, so I don't think anyone has aspirations of a national title. The passing offense will be awesome, as will the defensive line, and there's enough talent everywhere else to make this team quite formidable by the end of the year. I'll settle for winning the Big 12, beating Oklahoma again, and kicking the [censored] out of Kansas State and Texas A&M. Next year, we make another run at the title. Hook 'Em.
