A Good Guy

While up in New York visiting her family, Chris's wife Eileen lost her father suddenly to a stroke. They are busy with the memorial arrangements this week, and are in our prayers.

Today, Eileen sent out a link to an article in the local paper about her father, Jim Heffern, who was an integral part of the Binghampton community for his whole life. I'm linking it here because, though I only met Mr. Heffern once, I see a lot of the decency that people ascribed to him in Eileen (someone who has professionally worked on behalf of the poorest people in the world) and her brother Brian (as New York as anyone I've ever met, and star of the message board on our tourney pool).
